About Tom Robinson's Carolina Seafood

Located at 207 Roberson St, Carrboro, NC 27510, Tom Robinson's Carolina Seafood operates as a seafood market serving Carrboro in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.

Store size varies enormously, from a small corner grocery with a few aisles to a full supermarket chain location in Carrboro with a bakery, seafood counter and food court under one roof. Sales and promotions are often posted in-store or in a weekly flyer rather than online, so prices listed on a website may be out of date. Seafood markets sell live and on-ice product and can usually clean or prepare fish on request for a small fee. Specialty food stores in North Carolina may focus narrowly on one category, like a butcher, a rice and dry goods shop, or an import store, so calling ahead to confirm stock for a specific item saves a wasted trip.

The business lists hours on 3 days of the week. The most common schedule is 9:30 am–6:30 pm. It is closed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Sunday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Tom Robinson's Carolina Seafood at (919) 942-1221; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.

Customers rate it 4.7 out of 5 on Google across 145 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded seafood markets in Carrboro.

Carrboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Carrboro is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I love this local seafood shop! Always fresh and Sal is always warm and welcoming. Unfortunately the lady that deals with the order, and serves people is rude and seems to hate life. Don’t let her put you off. This place is truly wonderful.

It’s a wonderful local shop specializing in fresh NC seafood. My husband doesn’t like seafood unless it is very very fresh. He always loves what we buy here.

The place for sustainable seafood all the time and sushi grade fish (on Thursdays). In a totally unimposing and humble abode. So to be fair I’m biased because I’ve been going here for over a decade and I know everything/everyone here. REMEMBER: cash or check only! No credit cards. Delectable salmon and tuna and shrimp and scallops. Everything else can be quite variable, it’s all good quality but depends what they get in from the ocean. :) Included pics of sushi made with their fish. Run by smart accommodating people who really know their material. You’re going to look at my other reviews and think I’m nuts because of how simple and rustic this place is, but I promise you it’s good.

This place is lit πŸ”₯ I’m from the beach and when I moved here I missed fresh wild caught fish and shrimp so bad. I finally found this place!!! It’s so old school. They are well priced and very knowledgeable. If u want some fresh delicious seafood - check em out!!! Lastly, shoutout to the young guy who works there... reddish hair if I recall ... very helpful always! Thank u!
